Masters Swimming

The philosophy of Masters Swimming in Australia is "To encourage adults, regardless of age or ability, to swim regularly to promote fitness & improve their general health". The National Body in Australia is known as AUSSI Masters. Social events, "fun" swims, and competition an a national and international level are all part of the Masters Swimming calendar.

Corinne has recently returned from travelling with a group of AUSSI swimmers attending the 9th FINA World Masters Swimming Championships in Christchurch, where some 3000+ swimmers from around the world took part in an event which encompassed swimming, diving, water polo & synchronised swimming!

She has also attended the Pan Pacifics Championships in Maui, Hawaii in 1997, the 7th World Masters Swimming Championships held in Casablanca, Morocco 1998 & the 8th World Masters in Munich 2000. The next "Worlds", to be held in Rimini, Italy (on the Adriatic Coast) in 2004 is certain to see Corinne taking another dedicated group of swimmers on a tour for fun, fitness and friendship!!
